The Spirit of Christmas
So what be the spirit - of Christmas indeed
Through a child, in the world, was sowed a seed
A seed of light. A seed of hope.
A seed that washed us clean like soap
A seed through whom we then grew as leaves
Our lives to God and not to thieves
A seed of truth in revolution
That changed the whole worlds' constitution
This spirit remains, this spirit lives on
In us, together, is seen as one...

Sing and Dance
By: Jamike Ekennia
Move to the sound of the beating drum
It goes on its rhythm - rom pom pom pom
Sway to the colors of the saxophone beat
As you mix it with your hands and kick up your feet
Break it & sway when they play the piano
As the singers sing, in bass and soprano
But why do we sway, we break, and rock?
Why do we clap, we jump and pop?
The bible says by flower or rock
He'll be praised for real - all the way to the top
If we don't praise Him, and if we refuse
To dance out true - to the song of His muse.
So praise Him with timbrel, praise Him with harp
With song and dance - as the psalm says sharp
Classical, new, & the future dance soon
Dance you and clap you to the sound and tune.
As if never before, as if a race will be run
Move your feet - all, on the ground as one.
For the best of ways - to give our thanks
Is to praise His name, to sing and dance
This is a poem I wrote when I was in my schols' church. I saw people clapping and dancing, moving with a passion that i was really quite unused to seeing in a church. Being a catholic, dancing wasn't really part of my church's routine, even though I hear there are some Catholic churches in which that happens. It took me some time before I could actually dance a little in the Church as well, I had to find a good reason to. This poem is written not just for you, but for everyone, myself even, to give a reason....to sing and dance :)

The Original Super-Hero
– The Original (Super)Hero -
His name is Jesus, His name is Lord
He died to save us, He saved the world
He walked on water, He walked on clouds
He healed the sick, He fed the crowds
He raised the dead, and rose to life
He healed the lepers, removed their strife
He drove out demons, He drove out hate
He gave us love and He gave us faith
He is the Saviour, He is the Christ
the One Messiah, His name’s no heist
He wore our shoes, and walked on our way
He showed us wonders, and saved the day
He taught us lessons, to understand
that it’s by grace and not just by hand
that life and spirit, soul and mind
with truth and love, in God we’d find
He wore a thorn of crowns and wood
but never cursed even though He could
He had nails in His hands, and tears in His eyes
but His tears were for us, whom He’d never despise
He was whipped and spat on, by the people He saved
the same people, for Him, had cheered and waved
He’s my own superhero, and even yours too
The Greatest, the First, the Only one true
His name is Jesus. His name is Lord.
He died to save us. He saved the world.

(Poem) - Liable to be Loved
He shows me His open hands,
The wounds do break my heart.
He shows me His thorn crown,
And my spirit wants to break apart
He shows me His side wound
And I agonize in my mind
But then He shows me His smile
And not a trace of sorrow, I find
I whisper – I’m not worth it
He proclaims that I am
I shout – I’m not worthy
He speaks that I am
I complain that I’m sinful
He says my sins are no more
I ask if He has ever NOT loved me
He says – NEVER BEFORE

Hi.
As a lot of you know I'm not really all that much of a regular poster on here as much as I would have loved to be, but I'm still working on it. I've got my own good reasons, but I won't be addressing those now because I'm here to talk about something else, which is much more important.
I'm here to talk about sharing the Christian faith.

Why do we expected to be treated in this world any better than Jesus was?
If Jesus suffered in this world to live the right way, then you must also know that you shall suffer also to be his follower.
If Jesus was spat upon, insulted, disregarded, and even killed
